This Refund Policy applies to all subscription purchases made through the Next Obsession app and website.
1. Free Trial and Free Plan
Next Obsession offers a 7-day free trial with no payment card required. You are not charged during the trial, so no refund is applicable to the trial period itself. You can cancel or simply not subscribe at any point during the trial with no charge.
When the trial ends you move onto the free plan — no charge is made and nothing is deleted. Your library, notes and everything you have written remain on your account. If you later subscribe, everything unlocks again straight away.
2. One Night Stand (Monthly Subscription)
The One Night Stand (Monthly) plan is $4.99/month, billed in advance. You may cancel at any time, and you will keep access until the end of your current paid billing period. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial months already billed, except where required by law.
3. Situationship (6-Month Subscription)
The Situationship (6 Months) plan is $21.99, billed every 6 months in advance. If you cancel partway through your 6-month term, you will retain access until the end of the current 6-month period, but we do not provide prorated refunds for unused months, except where required by law.
4. Book Boyfriend (Annual Subscription)
The Book Boyfriend (1 Year) plan is $39.99, billed once per year in advance. If you cancel partway through your annual term, you will retain access until the end of the current annual period, but we do not provide prorated refunds for unused months, except where required by law.
If you were charged for an annual or 6-month renewal in error, contact us within 14 days of the charge and we will review your request.
5. Fated Mates (Lifetime Access)
The Fated Mates (Lifetime) tier is a one-time, non-recurring payment of $99.00 for lifetime access to the Service. Lifetime purchases are non-refundable. If you no longer wish to use the Service, you may delete your account at any time via your settings or by contacting us, but no refund will be issued for the lifetime purchase.
Where applicable law grants you a mandatory right to a refund or cooling-off period that cannot be waived (for example, certain consumer protection laws in your country of residence), this policy does not limit those statutory rights.
6. Billing Errors
If you believe you were charged incorrectly (e.g., duplicate charge, charge after cancellation), please contact us within 14 days of the charge at Info@nextobsessionrealm.com with your account email and details of the charge. We will investigate and issue a refund if a billing error is confirmed.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund under this policy, email Info@nextobsessionrealm.com with your account email address and the reason for your request. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
8. Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely through our payment provider, Paystack. Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method via Paystack and may take several business days to reflect, depending on your bank or card issuer.
Payments are processed in South African rand (ZAR), regardless of the currency in which the plans are displayed. Any exchange-rate difference or foreign-transaction fee applied by your bank or card issuer is outside our control and is not refunded by us.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date.
